Nightstands, from mess to impress!

We purchased these nightstands years ago, they were a beautiful cherry wood finish. But when we moved we spray painted them black. And they were pretty blah.

We spray painted the handles also. So these nightstands were blacker then black.

We are in love with the turquoise blue paint and wanted to try out the new chalk paint that everyone is raving about.

Here is what the nightstands look like after we painted them turquoise blue.

We went a little crazy with the dark wax, so we added some vintage white chalk paint and dry brushed it on. We liked the finish on these nightstands. But, when you put them on our dark green carpet in the bedroom they just didn't look good. So we decided to paint them cream and distress them.

Here is what we finally ended up with. You can see the dark green carpet in this picture, the blue did not look good against the green. The black handles accent the cream nicely.
